Fiona Grant (U Mauritius). Well-being across borders: The roles of national identity, disidentification, and social connectedness

Dr Fiona Grant graduated with a Master in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Université René Descartes - Paris 5 in France. She went on to complete a Master of Arts in Social Psychology and Program Evaluation from Claremont Graduate University. Finally, she received a PhD in Social Psychology and Health from the same institution in California, USA. She worked under the supervision of Dr Michael A. Hogg. 
She studies social identity processes in societal contexts, specifically the role of group membership in health promotion, the impact of social identification in education and wellbeing. Her research also focuses on self and identity, social identity complexity and how people cope with multiple identities during times of uncertainty. 
She is currently a lecturer of Psychology at the University of Mauritius
